7th November 2024, marks the 75th anniversary of the consecration of Ravenscroft Chapter Rose Croix No.418.
Ravenscroft Chapter Rose Croix No. 418 was consecrated on 7th November 1949 and from the signature books we have to hand, the Chapter had a good many members for a number of years. With many members obtaining the 31st and 32rd degrees.
In 2017 there were 14 members but sadly that number began to fall and by the end 2019 we had fewer than 5 attending. The decision was made to close the Chapter but Covid stayed the hand of closure and gave us enough time to rebuild.
We now have 29 members and all progressive officers are 18th degree which is a fantastic position for the Chapter to be in. Ravenscroft introduced the Visiting & Hosting scheme which hopefully more Chapters will take up in the future.
Thanks to all the joining member and the long list of candidates, we can safely say that Ravenscroft will be around for a while longer and hopefully we can make it to 100.
